How long does the guarantee last? +
Our warranty periods range from 10 years for standard coverage to lifetime for our premium tier. Bricks and roof tiles carry a 50-year guarantee, galvanized sheets 25 years, and pavement materials 30 years. The Lifetime Warranty tier provides coverage for the lifetime of the original structure.
How do I make a warranty claim? +
You can initiate a claim by contacting our warranty department at warranties@sa-builders.co.za or calling +27 78 257 7100. You’ll need to provide your original invoice or warranty certificate, photos of the issue, and details about when and where the product was installed.
Are labor costs covered under the warranty? +
Labor costs are covered under our Premium and Lifetime warranty tiers. The Standard warranty covers product replacement only. For Premium tier claims, we provide a labor allowance based on industry standard rates for your region.
What is not covered by the guarantee? +
Our guarantee does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, accidental damage, natural disasters, improper maintenance, or uses beyond the product’s intended purpose. It also doesn’t cover normal wear and tear or color variations within acceptable industry standards.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my property? +
Our Lifetime Warranty is transferable to new property owners at no cost. Standard and Premium warranties remain with the original purchaser. The new owner would need to purchase a warranty transfer for continued coverage beyond the original terms.
How long does claim processing take? +
Most claims are processed within 48 hours of receiving all required documentation. Simple claims may be resolved within 24 hours, while more complex cases requiring on-site inspection may take up to 5 business days.
Do I need to register my warranty? +
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend registering your warranty online or by mail within 30 days of purchase. Registration ensures we have your details on file and can expedite any future claims. Your original invoice serves as proof of purchase for warranty claims.
What documentation do I need for a claim? +
You’ll need your original sales invoice or warranty certificate, photos clearly showing the issue, information about when and where the product was installed, and details of the installer (if applicable). For larger claims, we may require an on-site inspection.
Are there any costs associated with warranty claims? +
There are no deductibles or claim fees for valid warranty claims. For Standard warranty claims, the customer is responsible for labor costs. For Premium and Lifetime tiers, both product replacement and reasonable labor costs are covered.
What if the specific product is discontinued? +
If your specific product has been discontinued, we will provide the closest available equivalent in terms of quality, appearance, and performance. If no suitable equivalent exists, we will provide a credit toward the purchase of alternative SA Builders products.
Does the warranty cover color variations? +
Our warranty covers color consistency within the same production batch. Natural variations between different production batches are not covered, as they are characteristic of clay and cement-based products. Our Premium and Lifetime warranties include specific protection against excessive color fading.
Is the warranty valid for international purchases? +
Yes, our warranty is valid for products purchased internationally. However, claim processing times may be longer for international claims, and shipping costs for replacement products may be the responsibility of the customer depending on the warranty tier and claim circumstances.
What if the product was installed incorrectly? +
Our warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper installation. However, we offer technical support and installation guidelines to help ensure proper installation. We can also recommend certified installers in your area who are familiar with our products.
How do you handle disputed claims? +
If there’s a disagreement about a claim, we first attempt resolution through discussion with our technical team. If unresolved, we may engage an independent第三方inspector. As a last resort, disputes can be referred to the Construction Industry Arbitration Service.

How does the lifetime warranty work? +
Our Lifetime Warranty provides coverage for the lifetime of the original structure for the original purchaser. It covers manufacturing defects, material failures, and includes both product replacement and labor costs. It’s also transferable to new property owners, maintaining the warranty’s value.
